Whether you’re taking out a loan to make home improvements or to buy a vehicle, it can be a financial gamble because things happen, life happens. You’re assuming you will be able to pay back your loan. Or that you won’t lose your job (through no fault of your own). Or that you won’t become disabled (due to injury or illness). Or that you won’t pass away unexpectedly, which could leave your family responsible for your loan balance. Life events can cause financial hardship, making paying your bills difficult. You don’t want delinquent payments and defaulted loans to cause you to lose your assets, or to negatively impact your credit rating, or to cause financial distress for your family.
Let us help you play it safe.
Debt Protection is a voluntary loan-payment protection product that helps you get relief from the financial burden of delinquency, default, or foreclosure if a protected life event unexpectedly happens to you. Simple eligibility requirements help ease the enrollment process.
We offer a Debt Protection Plan through CUNA Mutual Insurance Group which provides a voluntary payment protection product that can provide financial assistance to cover your loan balance or monthly payment(s). Protected events include: loss of life, disability or involuntary unemployment.
Your purchase of any debt protection product is optional and will not affect your application for credit or the terms of any credit agreement required to obtain a loan. Certain eligibility requirements, conditions and exclusions may apply. Please talk to your loan officer or refer to the Member Agreement for a full explanation of the terms of the Debt Protection Plan. Debt Protection is not a deposit and is not federally insured or guaranteed by NCUA.
