To help support your credit union and ensure our communities and Good Shepherd Food Bank have the resources to feed hungry Mainers, we are launching a 30-day Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger $100,000 Challenge. The Challenge will kick off June 4 and run until July 4.
As part of the Challenge, credit unions, businesses, and individuals will be encouraged to make an online donation via our new Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger website.
During the Challenge, 75% of the funds raised by or on behalf of specific credit unions will go back to Maine communities as directed by those credit unions to support local food pantries and meal sites. This includes funds sent directly to the Campaign in June and funds collected through the website, which allows donors to designate which credit union they belong to. The remaining 25% of the funds raised by or on behalf of individual credit unions during the Challenge will benefit Good Shepherd Food Bank.
